- To actively engage in the coaching process, participating in discussions, exercises, and reflections aimed at personal and professional growth.
- To help coaches identify their strengths, weaknesses, goals, and areas for improvement. Taking ownership of their development journey and being open to exploring new perspectives and behaviours.
- Collaborate with their coachee to establish clear, achievable goals aligned with the coachee’s personal and professional aspirations. They take responsibility for implementing action plans and tracking progress towards their objectives.
- To help coachees hold themselves accountable for taking necessary steps to achieve their goals. They actively seek feedback, reflect on their experiences, and make adjustments to their approach as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the content of coaching sessions, respecting the privacy and trust inherent in the coaching relationship.
- To offer insights, perspectives, and advice to help mentees navigate challenges and achieve their goals.
- Mentors to lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and competence in their respective fields. To inspire and motivate mentees through their actions, attitudes, and achievements.
- To actively listen to their mentees, providing constructive feedback, encouragement, and support.
- Offer guidance and perspective, helping mentees gain clarity, insight, and confidence in their decision-making processes.
- To facilitate networking opportunities for their mentees, connecting them with relevant contacts, resources, and opportunities to expand their professional network and enhance their career prospects.
- Assist mentees in identifying their career goals, exploring potential pathways, and developing skills necessary for success in their chosen field.
- Offer guidance on professional development opportunities, job search strategies, and career advancement tactics.
- To uphold confidentiality in their interactions with mentees, respecting the privacy and trust essential to the mentoring relationship.
