Well-being Service

Our Well-being Service to Universities, Colleges and Schools aims:
  • To promote mental health awareness and provide resources, programs, and initiatives to support the emotional well-being of students, and staff such as counselling, mental health workshops, support groups, and access to crisis intervention resources.
  • Assist students, and staff in managing academic stress, pressure, and performance expectations such as offering stress management workshops, time management strategies, study skills support, and academic coaching.
  • Offer accessible and confidential counselling and support services to individuals experiencing personal, academic, or mental health challenges. This may include individual counselling, group therapy, crisis intervention, and referrals to external services when needed.
  • To promote physical health and wellness among students, and staff by providing resources, programs, and initiatives related to nutrition, exercise, sleep hygiene, and overall well-being. This may include fitness classes, health education workshops, and wellness screenings.
  • To promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, providing resources for students and staff, and addressing issues of discrimination and harassment.
  • To implement prevention programs and initiatives to address substance abuse and addiction among students, and staff. This may include educational workshops, outreach campaigns, and referral services for individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
  • To facilitate peer support and mentoring programs to connect students, and staff with supportive peers who can offer guidance, encouragement, and friendship. Peer support programs may focus on academic support, mental health, or specific identity groups.
  • Collaborate with campus departments, student organisations, and community agencies to coordinate resources and support services for students, and staff. This may involve partnerships with health centers, student affairs offices, and other service providers when needed.
  • Offer training and education programs for staff, and students on topics related to mental health, well-being, and supporting others in distress. This may include workshops on suicide prevention, bystander intervention, stress management, and self-care strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of our programmes and initiatives through data collection, assessment, and feedback mechanisms. This includes gathering input from stakeholders and using outcomes data to inform programmatic improvements and enhancements.
